In cold climates, water trapped in cracks expands when it freezes, widening those cracks with every cycle. What starts as a hairline fracture becomes a pothole within a single winter.
Chemical Damage
Oil, gasoline, and road salts dissolve the asphalt binder on contact. A quality sealer creates a chemical-resistant barrier that keeps these agents from penetrating the surface.
